Morro Bay to Cayucos Connector

Located on the National Scenic Byway State Route 1 in San Luis Obispo County, the Morro Bay to Cayucos connector trail segment closes the gap between the two communities of Morro Bay and Cayucos. The trail concept includes a separated multi-use path that runs on the beachside parallel to State Route 1 providing development of a dedicated coastal trail segment that is completely separated from traffic along State Route 1, to ensure the safety and maximize recreation of users. Project right-of-way was finalized in winter of 2020 with the assistance of Land for Public Trust and the SLO Land Conservancy.
