SLOCOG serves as a regional agency for transportation funding resources. SLOCOG programs federal, state and local transportation dollars. Recent examples of projects and programs include:

Highways/Streets/Roads: Willow Road Interchange, Widening of Hwy 46E, Cuesta Grade Widening to 6-lanes, South County Highway 101 Axillary lanes, Santa Maria River Bridge Widening, Park and Ride Lots throughout County, L.O.V.R. interchange (2015), Hwy 101/41 Interchange in Atascadero, and 101 Truck Climbing Lane at Shell Beach.

Public Transit: Atascadero Transit Center, Expanded Rail Service(s) Pacific Surfliner, Grover Beach Train Station, Paso Robles Train/Bus Station, Regional and Local Transit Coach Replacement, Summer North County Beach Shuttle, Ramona Garden Park Transit Center for SCAT, and Five Cities Outlet Mall Transit Center.

Livable Communities, including bike and pedestrian improvements: Bob Jones Bike Trail, Grand Avenue Streetscape Project, Pismo Beach Promenade, Morro Bay Boardwalk, Salinas River Trail, Jennifer Street Bridge, and Port San Luis Pier Rehabilitation.

SLO Regional Rideshare: Back ‘N’ Forth Club employee commuter program, Safe Routes to School, Mobility Management, SLO County Bike Month, Youth Ride Free, and Rideshare Week.
