2021 Federal Transportation Improvement Program (FTIP) Amendment No. 2

The San Luis Obispo Council of Governments (SLOCOG) will hold a Public Hearing on August 4, 2021, to receive public testimony on Amendment No. 2 to the 2021 Federal Transportation Improvement Program (FTIP). The 2021 FTIP Amendment No. 2 consists of the following change:

1) Bob Jones Trail – All Segments. Program $20.5M in Engineering, Right-of-Way and Construction funds. $18.3M funds awarded from the State ATP Program; and $2.2M matching from local and regional funds. FY21/22~22/23.

The FTIP is the region’s transportation programming document that contains a comprehensive listing of surface transportation projects that receive federal funds, are subject to a federally required action, or are regionally significant. Highways, streets, and local roads; public transit; and bicycle and pedestrian projects are included in the FTIP based on expected federal, state, and local funding (programmed and committed) over the next four years.

The San Luis Obispo Regional Transit Authority (RTA), City of San Luis Obispo's Transit Division (SLO Transit), and South County Transit (SoCo Transit) rely upon SLOCOG, as the metropolitan planning organization for the region, to meet the public participation requirements for the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Program of Projects.
