This regional multi-use path connects the City of San Luis Obispo to the community of Avila Beach and Port San Luis. This project has received Annual Appropriations and Federal Demonstration Funds for construction in the City of SLO and SLO County. It continues to be a high priority to all parties involved. SLOCOG participates as a project partner in monthly meetings with County Parks, County Planning, SLO County Bicycle Coalition, Caltrans, SLO County Land Conservancy, and multiple advocates to ensure progress is made on this trail.
SLOCOG has funded several phases of the Bob Jones (both in the city of San Luis Obispo and in SLO County). SLOCOG most recently funded the segment between Prado Road and Los Osos Vally Road in SLO City. SLOCOG has committed to construction funding on the first phase of the Bob Jones segments in the County (from the Octagon Barn to Clover Ridge Road).
